Meet the Weird & Wonderful Crew
While my work centres around dogs, my passion extends to all animals—and always has. I got my first snake at age 12, and ever since, I’ve slowly built up my own little menagerie of weird and wonderful companions.
Today, I share my home with two amazing dogs, a rescue cat, a curious leopard gecko, a very greedy tortoise, and yes—the same snake I’ve had since childhood! Growing up, I dreamed of being surrounded by animals and giving them the very best life possible. It’s that dream that continues to fuel everything I do.
I truly believe that being a responsible pet guardian is about doing your best, nurturing strong relationships, and always learning how to support your animals better. My own pets inspire me every day—and none more so than my two dogs, Shelby and Nessie.
🐾 Shelby
Shelby is my blue merle Border Collie with the most incredible personality. She takes everything in her stride and has a gift for reading emotions—she’s like my own little support dog.
Always up for cuddles or a new challenge, Shelby loves learning tricks and thrives when she’s mentally engaged. True to her breed, she’s bursting with energy and keeps both me and the rest of the crew on our toes!
🐾 Nessie
Nessie is my beautiful rescue girl who came to me with anxiety and reactivity. Together, we’ve worked hard on confidence building, life skills, and helping her feel safe in the world. Watching her come out of her shell and grow into a cheeky, loving companion has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey.
Her progress reminds me why I do what I do—for all the dogs out there who just need a little extra understanding and support.
The Rest of the Gang:
Alf – My one-eared rescue cat and reigning king of the house
Louie- The Leopard Gecko
Hetti - The Greedy Tortoise
Will- The Corn Snake
They each have their quirks, their needs, and their routines—and they’ve all taught me so much about care, behaviour, and what it means to build trust.
Over the years, countless dogs—my own and those I’ve worked with—have shaped who I am as a trainer and behaviourist. Shelby and Nessie are just the beginning of that story, and I’m so grateful for every animal that’s been part of the journey.
